ValiandTech Branding — Logo, Identity and 2026 Product Catalogue

Comprehensive visual identity for an industrial technology company: geometric logo, dark palette with bright accents, and a modular catalogue layout that handles both heavy machinery and small pneumatic components.

The brief: a face for a technology company

ValiandTech operates in industrial equipment and technology. Before branding work began, the company had no unified visual identity: different materials looked different, no logo as such existed, and the product catalogue was assembled from scratch for each client request.

The task: build a complete visual system that works equally well across digital touchpoints (website, presentations), print (catalogue, proposals), and on the equipment itself (nameplates, marking).

In industrial B2B, branding is not about "like" or "don't like." It's about trust. A company where everything looks consistent is perceived as reliable. Visual chaos reads as operational chaos.

Logo development

Mark concept

The logo is built on a geometric mark combining industrial aesthetics with a sense of motion. The form operates on several associative levels simultaneously: the precision of engineering drawings, direction and forward momentum, structural solidity. The mark reads on any background and scales from an app icon to an exhibition banner. Over 30 logo variants were developed during the sketching phase. Selection criteria: uniqueness (not confusable with competitors), scalability (readable from 16px to 1600px), timelessness (won't date in three years).

Typography

Technical grotesques were chosen for the logotype — fonts with engineering character, no serifs, clear geometric forms. A family that reads equally well in catalogue headings and in the fine print of technical documentation.

Colour system

The colour palette was developed from scratch to match brand requirements. A dark base — deep neutral tones referencing metal structure surfaces. Bright accents — for highlighting key elements: action buttons, section headings, important technical specifications in the catalogue. Palette contrast was calculated to WCAG 2.1 standards. This is not just aesthetic — it's a technical requirement for equipment operated under varying lighting conditions.

2026 Product Catalogue

The ValiandTech catalogue spans a wide product range: large industrial machines, pneumatic components, ancillary equipment. The size and price-point range is enormous. The layout task: create a modular grid that accommodates a page with a single large machine and a page with twelve small components with equal grace.

Layout uses a 12-column modular grid with two base page templates: "large object" (one item per spread, maximum visual real estate for imagery) and "catalogue sheet" (4 to 12 items per page with standardised product cards). Every product card contains: product image on neutral background, part number, short name, three key technical parameters, and a QR code linking to full specifications — all in one standard block, regardless of whether the product is a pneumatic cylinder or an industrial machine.

Result

Complete ValiandTech visual identity created: logo developed, colour palette approved, 2026 product catalogue laid out. The brand has a recognisable face; clients have a practical tool for equipment selection.

This project demonstrates that an industrial designer with a technical background can take on branding work for technology companies — understanding the product and its application context is a decisive advantage over a pure graphic designer working without that grounding.
